Let's get this training going!


When I first began this venture, I decided I wanted to get out and get some early training going on, try to be ahead of the game. I was doing so well and loved my progress, until I got a little too courageous and ended up hurting my knees to the point where I couldn't walk. But I felt so good running and thought I was on a roll! I guess when you begin training from couch to marathon, you must take it slow. I definitely learned the hard way. It took up 2 weeks from my training, but now I feel so happy to get started again.

Our kick-off meeting was this past Saturday and it was great to see all the people doing different things all for the same cause. It was inspiring to say the least! I know I will reach my goals, fundraising as well as training. It all takes time, faith, courage and certainly effort. I hope to have learned my lessons and not try to take it all in so fast. Train 20 minutes twice a week and then with the team on the weekends. I can't wait, I'm very excited and look forward to getting to know my teammates.

Leo, this is for you buddy! I know with your love of sports, you will be right there with me! You have your wings, teach me to fly!
